“Thanks so much for trusting me with your first tattoo! heres some information I thought might be useful” 🫶🏼

If you’re feeling a bit nervous about having your first tattoo, don't worry thats completely normal, lets talk through some things and get you on the way to your first of many tattoos!

Over 18s Only

Okay so first things first, you must be 18 or over to have a tattoo, so please bring along ID to your appointment.

Is it going to hurt?

I always say to my clients when they ask what to expect: it might be a little scratchy, you'll feel a little bit of a buzzing sensation and yes, it may sting a little! But honestly…Its really not that bad, i promise!

As its fine line & because i use a single needle, it doesn't require a-lot of pressure to place the needle & ink into the skin, (unlike larger group needles groups of 3 / 5 / 7 + needles used in more tradition style tattoos), so its actually really gentle.

Most of my clients say after their first tattoo; ‘its nothing’, ‘I could fall asleep’ & ‘I already want another now I know it doesn't hurt!’

Somethings that could affect how much it hurts are:

• placement

• if your feeling unwell or are recovering from an illness

• recovering from pregnancy or if its just before or during your period

Will I need numbing cream?

please please don't apply numbing cream! its really not necessary and it will make it harder for me to tattoo. I dont tattoo anyone who is wearing numbing cream so best to avoid it :)
